TAKS or TAX
While students were taking the math benchmark test, a 4th grade girl raised her hand to ask for help. I thought she said "Does this include TAKS?" I began explaining to her that the test was like a practice TAKS test. Then I read through the problem she was working on a realized it was asking her to add three amounts of money and she had asked "Does this include tax?" I don't know her very well but I wouldn't be surprised if she became an accounted with that young mindset.
